UNREALITY

I often hear people out there saying that one should be real, one should not pretend anything , one should never be fake and unreal, one should always speak the truth.

 Truth. Always. Always?

 What if we really start implementing this in our lives?

 A little girl trying her hands on cooking for the first time and waiting desperately for her father's comments would be so depressed if her father told her the truth that she didn't cook the brownie well.

 She may spend her whole day in disappointment and may find all her attempts in vain.
      On the other hand- if the father had been unreal and appreciated her for her efforts , her joys would have known no boundaries. She may be happy.

   
Think of an old man who is agitated,  frustrated and discontented with himself because he couldn't fulfill the desires of his children, couldn't provide them a luxurious life and all that he earned in his life is failure.


How can we reduce his frustration?

  We can help him by being a bit unreal and by assuring him that everything is going to be fine. He may be happy.
Similarly, there are many instances, many situations when you really need to be fake. 

 You can't commit the crime of killing so many beginnings, happy faces, smiles,  endeavours.

 Truth is needed but not always. Sometimes ,all a person needs is hearing a few good words, seeing a smiling face (genuine or fake -doesn't matter) , a spark of inspiration. It will heal him temporarily. It will give him hope. This little favour can rebuild someone's world. This fake smile can reduce a person's worries and despair to a great extent. 

 I can be unreal if it gifts Hope and Happiness to someone . I should. I should because there are times when a mere pretence heals better than a harsh reality.

 In a nutshell,Unreality is beautiful.Unreality is essential.If we cannot make someone's life better by showing him the Reality,better go for Unreality.

I moon you.

Partially through the vapour rising from my mug of coffee, I see the leaves of the tree shining brightly under the streetlight. The streetlight is making the leaves appear as if they are on a stage, about to perform on a melodious song any moment now, under the spotlight. I don’t know why but suddenly this streetlight  is becoming my center point of attention and I am absolutely oblivious to the fact that I am out with my friends whom I am actually meeting after a span of more than six months.
